Boat Picture Analysis.

This picture's main subject is the boat, your eye is drawn straight towards the boat. Rule of thirds plays an important part within this picture, the dusty, cloud spiralled sky sets the scene at the top of the image. The quick shutter speed catches the sea at its calmest moment in the middle of the picture, creating a symbolical line which your eye follows and entices your brain and eye's towards the used rugged boat. Giving the image depth at the bottom of the photo, the viewers eyes are greeted by plenty of rocks, again leading the eye towards the main subject of the boat. The analogous colours in the sky are harmonious and resemble togetherness, the sun is blurred but you can still see the rays beaming through the dusk sky.

For me personally this image conveys serenity and relaxation, it's a place that a viewer would look at and think to their self 'i want to be there', the dusk orange sky emphasises this idea, it creates a peaceful moment and captures the world in a beautiful light which i feel is the real art to photography.

Types of photography.

This image is an example of fashion photography, this is an editorial image, it's very surreal and colourful. The bright pop in colour makes you look at this image and draws your eyes towards her face. Her pale skin contrasts to the colours in the dress. The background is also white which contrasts the colours.

This image displays an example of sport photography. This image is a football purpose shot, this is an image of footballer Neymar da Silva Santos Júnior. In this image Neymar has his hands over his face, showing shock and devastation, this image shows the fight in his eyes and how bad he wants to succeed, this image could be found in an article and may make the reader want to read on and find out more about that match.

This image is an example of photo journalism. This photo would be used in newspapers or magazine articles to show people how traumatic certain things in the news today can be. This photo is hard hitting and effective. You can see the pain that the couple are feeling; This image would make the reader feel sympathetic.

This image is an example of gig and nightlife photography, this image is taken from a camera using a slow shutter speed making the lights and arm blurry due to the movements of the dj. This image could be used for advertisement purposes and used to persuade people to visit this nightclub/venue.












This image shows an example of wildlife photography. This image is just a silhouette of an insect, the patterns in the wings of the insect are eye catching and makes this image appealing. The shadow and the light background makes the image more eye catching and interesting.

Fashion Photography.

The first few images are shot by fashion photographer, Emma Summerton. This photo features model Chrysta Bell. On the left half of this image, Chrysta is clutching a flower in her hand and looking sympathetically at the floor and indirect to the camera. The printed skirt is eye catching, yet the main feature is vertically upwards showing the emotion in Chrysta's face.
In the right image, Chrysta's eye's are covered, although the contrast between the red leather and black top and hat, brings your eyes towards Chrysta's red lips, which could be seen as a unique selling point.

The photo to the right is also shot by fashion photographer Emma Summerton. This is a group shot of a western themed shoot. 3 of the 5 models have their bare legs on show, which could be seen as frowned upon to people of the western era. This is emphasised from the look of the other two model's faces, to the right of the image is a model sat with her arms folded, and her face is struck with anger. The contrast between the dark, dull setting makes the dresses patterns and colours stand out.

The left image is also shot by Emma Summerton and is also model Chrysta Bell. The main colour theme for this image is black and red, the red setting emphasises the black leather outfit that Chrysta is wearing. Chrysta's back is arched which draws the eye up her body leading to the cherry red lips which themes with the red setting and background.

This next image to the right is shot by renowned fashion photographer Nigel Barker. This image is shot of Canadian fashion model Coco Rocha. The camera is face on showing all of Coco's features.
This is a very simple, yet extremely eye catching image and conveyed in the look of Coco's eyes, she look powerful and strong. The statement necklace sits rugged around her neck, which again emphasises the power of Coco. The contrast between the black jewellery and white back ground makes this photo even more eye catching.

This image is shot by fashion photographer Helmut Newton. This image contrasts a lady, to a man. The feminine woman smoking a mans cigar. This shows the lady being   androgynous and being lost in the pleasure of smoking a cigar and being manly. This image is provocative due to the anti smoking and raunchy feel. This image could be found in fashion magazines and used for advertisement purposes.
